Belgian-born pop singer/songwriter Lara Fabian began vocalizing, dancing, and taking piano lessons at a very thomas Young eld and began schematic euphony lessons at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels at age ashcan School. During her x age of study in that respect, Fabian started authorship and acting her own songs, which were elysian as much by her classical vocal and music theory education as they were by Barbra Streisand and Queen. After finish her studies, Fabian affected to Montreal and began her have label and publishing company, Productions Clandestines. Collaborator/producer Rick Allison, an old friend from Brussels, united her in Montreal and the pair off worked steadily on writing and recording songs. In 1991, Fabian's French-language debut album was released in Canada and sold over C,000 copies in trey years. Her consistent touring in Quebec helped bolster her 1994 album Carpe Diem to similar success, which paved the agency for 1997's Pure, a 2 million-selling album in France that spawned the anti-homophobia anthem "La Difference." Keyshia Cole , Just Like You

KEYSHIA COLEJust Like You - International Deluxe Version (Geffen Records)Rating: * * *Verdict: A potential successor to Mary J Blige's throne.Mariah, take note. This is what an R&B record should sound like. On her second studio effort, Keyshia Cole delivers a solid line-up of club jams, ballads, self-empowerment anthems and even the odd reggae bounce, all with her own flavour.Even when joined by some of hip hop's biggest stars including Missy Elliot, Lil' Kim, Diddy, Sean Paul and Kanye West Cole holds her own, her powerful voice shining through. At times, she is guilty of over-singing, as on   the heart-wrenching ballad Love, her voice straining as she belts out a succession of Mariah-like trills. While she turns out a good club track in the form of Let It Go and Last Night, Cole is at her best   singing about breakups and moving on. With eight tracks dedicated to the subject, one can only presume it is an issue close to her heart.

Despite the sweet backing harmonies of Falling Out, it is in fact, a cleverly crafted anti-ballad, with Coles softly cooing "Baby I'm slowly falling out of love with you."Clocking in at 16 tracks more than an hour's listening the record would have benefited from a more stringent selection process, as the multiple variations on the theme become a touch wearisome, but otherwise, it's a sterling effort.

Mark Wahlberg Won't Take Kids to NKOTB Reunion

Brothers Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg are all over the news these days, with rapper-turned-actor Mark about to be a new father and Donnie's old-school boy band New Kids On the Block enjoying a long-anticipated reunion.

However, when we caught up with the man formerly known as Marky Mark, he told OK! that he likely won't be bringing kids Ella, 4, and 2-year-old Michael to see their uncle Donnie perform live anytime soon.

"They're probably still a little bit young for all that gyrating and stuff," Mark explained to OK! at the NYC premiere of his new film, The Happening, on Wednesday. "They went to The Wiggles concert, they went to the Doodlebops. And they just went to Elmo this weekend. That's about their speed."

Despite the fact that the little Wahlbergs will be absent at the NKOTB concerts, Mark is still very supportive of his big bro's music career. "I know my brother's very talented. He has something up his sleeve."

Another brotherly connection Mark's new film, The Happening, is directed by M. Nighy Shyamalan, who had cast Donnie almost a decade ago in his hit movie, The Sixth Sense.

Report: Mario Lopez Spurned by Undies Ad

According to an item in today's New York Post, there's a bit of tension between Mario Lopez and one of his co-stars in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line and it all appears to revolve around skimpy men's clothes.

First, the article claims that the Dancing With the Stars runner-up requested a costume change for muscular co-star Nick Adams so as to not have his own bulging biceps be upstaged.

And now comes a report that men's underwear company 2(x)ist, which had been about to sign Mario for a new ad, has kicked the Saved By the Bell star to the curb and selected you guessed it archrival Nick as the fella to go shirtless in their skivvies.

"Mario was originally No. 1 on our radar as we planned the campaign," the article quotes an insider as saying. "We were ready to call him with an offer, but then we saw Nick. He's younger, sexy, more interesting. On top of that, his body was crazy. We set up a meeting, and when he walked in, that was it. We never even looked at anyone else after that."
